Charitable Contributions: The John P. Eliopulos Hellenic Center is not just another banquet facility.
The facility was built to support the local community. As part of that support, the Center has pledged a minimum of
$10,000 annually to local charities.
In 2008, the Center, together with Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek
Orthodox Church, donated monies to childrens summer programs sponsored by the
City of Lancaster's Parks and Recreation Dept (a program whose goal is to give at risk children a venue for creativity in the summer months),
Meals on Wheels, the
US Marines Corp's Toys for Tots and
Trinity Youth Services.
In 2009, we again supported
Trinity Youth Services, and served Thanksgiving meals to the
Women at the Well. Additionally, we pledged support to the new
CalVet Pete Knight Veteran's Home, as well as the American-Hellenic World War II Veterns's Memorial.
All charitable organizations must
benefit the Antelope Valley in order to be considered, keeping our funds locally, benefiting our local community.
